Lots of visitors remark that our campus is unusually attractive, being surrounded as it is by forested hills and the sea. We even have our own “university beach.” A picture of the beach:

I will be leading a seminar course for international students at the College of Management (NSYSU) during the 2nd semester of the 2008-2009 academic year. The theme will be “Theories of Institutional, Economic, and Social Change.” The aim of the course is to discuss a number of old and new books and articles with a more-or-less evolutionary approach to long-term and short-term socio-economic processes. A partial list of book authors: Jared Diamond, Douglass North, Jane Jacobs, Joseph Schumpeter, Israel Kirzner, Brian Loasby, Ronald Inglehart, and Richard Florida.
